ONCE IN LONDON…

—Maybe this one, green?
—No, unlikely, check mixsher once more.
—Oh! The record is under way, everything is working, we are ready!
—When are they supposed to come?
—The porter told they are going upstairs.
—Good. And in brief—who are they?
—Four young guys from Liverpool, just youth.
—Do they have an agent at least?
—Yes, they do, that must be them. Open.

—Hello, my name is Brian, I'm manager of the group. And these are Paul, Ringo, John and George.
—My name's Tom, I'm producer of the studio Worldinfocom, and this is Dan, our chief sound producer.
—Is this your first recording disk, gentlemen?—wondered Dan.
—Not quite, we tried to make records ourselves at amateur studios, but the results still leave much to be desired—started John.
—That make us think about recording at the professional studio—interrupted Brian, the manager of the group.
—That's wonderful, gentlemen, our studio helps young performers, turning their first records into platinum albums—noted Dan.

Creak of the door interrupted dialogue of the characters, and young secretary entered the room carrying tray and coffee-pot. «Thanks, Britney…» —said Tom.

—Let me ask you a kind of indiscreet question—why did you decide applying to us? —Went on Tom after making a gulp of coffee.

—We've been examining your studio for a long time, and interviews with stars appear regularly in the press, we'd like to share their destiny—smiled Paul.

—By the way, as far as I know Emminem worked with you, and that was his star time—added Ringo.

—Emminem didn't work with us—objected Tom.

—The thing is that our principles of work are rather strict—explained Dan.

—Besides apparatus we need creative conditions, freedom, even amplifiers can't work without satisfactory conditions—noted Dan.

—And what should we know about amplifiers?—asked Brian agitatedly.

—You needn't be preoccupied about the technical part, gentlemen, that's our problem—smiled Dan.

—Actually technical part isn't a problem, the heroes of our time are resolving it—added Tom.

—Gentlemen, may we have a look at the performers you are working now with? —Wondered George.

Gust of wind set ajar a small hinged window, and echoes of the crowd standing downstairs penetrated the room.

—Yes, and just idlers—answered Tom.

—But it isn't the best variant if you want to be heard, it's better to use megaphone—added Dan.

We have the forthcoming premiere planned in an hour, and now the reduction of tracks of the next record is taking place in the studio—Tom went on sharing his planes. If you don't mind, I'd like to invite you, gentlemen.

—Well, in general everything is clear. Let's however look at your platinum albums—concluded Brian.

—Wonderful, please follow here, gentlemen—invited Tom.

While Paul, John, George and Ringo were making their way through the corridor to the exhibition of platinum records, Brian was carefully sharing his hard destiny with Tom—«…this group is not the only one, I have some more gifted guys in view, and there are my own ones…» —was telling Brian.

—And we cooperate not just with young performers, we have something interesting to suggest inclusive to the sharks of capitalism» —answered Tom cunningly.

At this point our characters bade farewell to the readers and went to have a look at the platinum albums.
